Mojek Solutions Private Limited and its related entities (collectively referred to as “We,” “Our,” “Us,” or “Mojek”) provide various services to our customers (“Customer,” “You,” “Your,” or “User”) through our website (https://mojek.money), our application on the App Store named Mojek Money, and any other websites or platforms that we may own and operate, or may operate in the future (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Platform”).
At Mojek, we are committed to protecting your personal information and respecting your privacy. This document (hereinafter referred to as the “Privacy Policy”) describes our practices in relation to the storage, use, processing, and disclosure of your personal information that may be accessed by us or that you may choose to share with us when using our Platform or Services. This Privacy Policy sets out the basis on which any personal information we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed.
As part of delivering our services, Mojek partners with SHREEM DATATECH SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD. for securely managing and processing specific types of financial data, such as bank and mutual fund information, which Shreem stores on its servers. Mojek displays this data on your device but does not store it on Mojek’s own servers.
You accept this Privacy Policy when you visit or use our Platform, sign up for, access, or use our products, services, content, features, technologies, or functions offered on our Platform and all related sites, applications, and services (collectively referred to as “Mojek Services”).
By providing us with consent to process your personal information, you acknowledge that we, in collaboration with our partners as necessary, will collect, store, use, and disclose your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy applies to Personal Information (which includes any information, documents, or details that relate to a natural or legal person, which, directly or indirectly in combination with other information available to Mojek, can identify such person) and other information as outlined in the Information Collected section of this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy is intended to govern the use of Mojek Services by our Customers, including those who use Mojek Services for personal or business purposes, unless otherwise agreed upon through a specific contract.
We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a revised version on our Platform. The revised version will take effect as of the published effective date. Where required by applicable laws, we will provide prior notice of changes to this Privacy Policy. After the notice period, you, as a Customer, will be deemed to have expressly consented to all amendments to this Privacy Policy.
We collect the following personal information, in compliance with applicable law, to provide you with Mojek Services:
• Device Information: We collect information sent to us by your computer, mobile phone, or other access device. This information includes data about the pages you access, IP address, device ID or unique identifier, device type, geo-location, connection information, mobile network information, page view statistics, traffic to and from sites within the Platform, referral URL, and standard web log data. This data is collected for data analytics purposes.
• App Data: We collect, transmit, and store information about installed applications on our secure servers to support Mojek Services.
• Cookies: We collect anonymous information through cookies and web beacons. We may collect and store information you provide when using Mojek Services, such as when you fill out a web form, add or update account information, participate in community discussions, or communicate with us.
• Transaction Data: This includes details of transactions conducted through the Platform or related to Mojek Services, including email interactions. We collect this data after obtaining necessary permissions in compliance with applicable law.
• Financial Data: For the purposes of displaying financial insights, Mojek collects financial data such as credit card usage, investment information (e.g., equities, ETFs, crypto), and other financial details directly provided to Mojek. For bank data and mutual fund information, SHREEM DATATECH SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD. is responsible for secure data management and storage. Mojek accesses and displays this data on your device without storing it on Mojek servers. Necessary permissions are obtained in accordance with applicable law.
• Financial Information: This includes information as defined under the Master Direction - Non-Banking Financial Company - Account Aggregator (Reserve Bank) Directions, 2016, as updated from time to time.
• Other General and Personal Information: When you use Mojek Services, we collect information about your transactions and activities. This may include:
• Contact information: Name, address, phone number, email, and similar details.
• Detailed personal information: Date of birth, marital status, gender, educational background, employment status, organization name, identification documents, health, and lifestyle information.
• Additional Information Sources: We may collect information from other sources, such as communication with our customer support team, survey responses, interactions with Mojek team members, and other accounts we believe you control.
• Monitoring and Recording: For quality, training, and security purposes, Mojek may monitor or record phone conversations with you or your representatives. By communicating with Mojek, you acknowledge that these conversations may be monitored or recorded, unless otherwise required by law.
• Fraud Protection and Security: To protect against fraud and misuse of your information, we may collect information about your interactions with Mojek Services and evaluate your device to identify any malicious activity.
• Location Data: When you download or use our mobile applications or access our mobile-optimized sites, we may receive information about your location and mobile device, including a unique identifier for your device. This information may be used to provide location-based services, search results, and other personalized content.
You expressly consent to Mojek (including its marketing channels and business partners) to use and process the details, documents, and information mentioned in the Information Collected section above for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy.
By providing your details and documents on the Platform, including personal information and other details as specified above, you expressly consent to Mojek (including its marketing channels and business partners) to contact you via SMS, call, and/or email, as well as follow-up calls related to the Mojek Services provided through the Platform. This may include sharing product knowledge, promotional offers, and various other offers provided by Mojek and its business partners.
You authorize and expressly consent to Mojek sharing your personal information (to the extent required) with third parties as necessary for delivering Mojek Services. This may include sharing your mobile number for OTP delivery and, where required, accessing financial information. For bank account and mutual fund data, SHREEM DATATECH SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD. securely manages and processes this data, which is displayed by Mojek on your device but not stored on Mojek servers.
Our primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide you with a secure, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. We may use your personal information to:
• Provide Mojek Services and customer support; process transactions and send notices about your transactions; verify your identity, including during account creation and password reset processes.
• Resolve disputes, collect fees, and troubleshoot problems; manage risk, or detect, prevent, and/or remediate fraud or other potentially prohibited or illegal activities; detect, prevent, or remediate violations of policies or applicable user agreements; improve Mojek Services by customizing your user experience; measure the performance of Mojek Services and improve content and layout; ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Manage and protect our information technology infrastructure; provide targeted marketing and advertising, service update notices, and promotional offers based on your communication preferences; contact you by telephone, SMS, or email messaging, as authorized by our User Agreement; perform creditworthiness and solvency checks, and compare information for accuracy and verification with third parties.We also use user information to enable activities and transactions that need to occur during the provision of various Mojek Services, such as:
• (a) Generating and maintaining user profiles on the Platform.
• (b) Providing personalized features.
• (c) Assisting financial services organizations in offering better services.
• (d) Facilitating collection activities as needed.
• (e) Maintaining regular communication with users concerning their transactions, such as requests for information, submitting loan requests, making payments, transferring funds, etc.
• (f) Modifying the Platform periodically to cater to user interests.
• (g) Operating the Platform and its features efficiently.
• (h) Preserving social history as governed by applicable laws or policies.
For bank account and mutual fund data, SHREEM DATATECH SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD. securely manages this information as required for service delivery. Mojek accesses this data only for display on your device, without storing it on Mojek’s servers.
In this Privacy Policy, “personal information” refers to information associated with a specific person that can be used to identify that individual. Personal information does not include data that has been anonymized and cannot be used to identify a specific user.
We store and process personal information in our possession or control on our secure servers and infrastructure, in locations where our facilities are based. For bank and mutual fund data, SHREEM DATATECH SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD. securely manages and stores this data on its servers, and Mojek accesses this information solely for display on the user’s device.
To protect your information, we implement physical, technical, and administrative security measures designed to reduce risks of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, and alteration. Some of the safeguards we employ include firewalls, data encryption, physical access controls to our data centers, and access authorization controls.
We ensure that the security practices adopted by Mojek are fully compliant with applicable laws and meet industry standards.
Mojek will not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, for any reason, at any time. However, we may share your personal information with our affiliates and business partners if such data sharing will assist you in utilizing Mojek Services. Additionally, you authorize Mojek to share your personal information with:
• Mojek Group Companies: Members of Mojek’s group companies may access your information to provide joint content, products, and services (such as registration, transactions, and customer support), help detect and prevent potentially illegal acts and violations of our policies, and guide product, service, and communication decisions. These group companies may use this information to send you marketing communications.
• Partner Financial Institutions: We may share personal information with our financial institution partners, who may only use this information to market Mojek-related products.
• Banking Partners: As required by credit card association rules, we may share information with banking partners for inclusion on their list of terminated merchants if your Mojek account is closed due to a breach of our User Agreement.
• Potential Mergers or Acquisitions: If Mojek proposes to merge with or is acquired by another entity, your personal data may be among the assets transferred. In the event of such a business transition, the new entity will adhere to this Privacy Policy with respect to your personal information. If any changes in data handling are proposed, you will receive prior notice.
• Law Enforcement and Legal Compliance: We may disclose personal information to law enforcement, government officials, or other third parties if required by subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to comply with applicable laws or credit card rules. • SHREEM DATATECH SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD.: For bank account and mutual fund information, SHREEM DATATECH SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD. securely manages and processes this data, and Mojek accesses it only to display on your device. Shreem DataTech provides an equal level of protection for this data in line with this Privacy Policy.
• Other Unaffiliated Third Parties for Specific Purposes:
• Fraud Prevention and Risk Management: To help prevent fraud and manage risk, we may share account information with third parties if Mojek places a hold or restriction on your account due to disputes, claims, chargebacks, or other issues related to transactions.
• Customer Service: To assist with customer service, including resolving account issues or disputes (e.g., billing or transactional matters).
• Shipping: To facilitate shipping and related services for purchases made using Mojek.
• Legal Compliance: To assist third parties in complying with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing verification requirements. • Service Providers: To support Mojek’s business operations, we may share information with service providers under contract, such as those involved in fraud prevention, bill collection, KYC document collection, marketing, customer service, and technology services.
• Other Third Parties with Your Consent: We may share information with other third parties upon your consent or direction.Please note that any third parties with whom we share your personal information are obligated to provide an equal level of protection as outlined in this Privacy Policy and in compliance with applicable terms.
We use data collection devices such as “cookies” and similar technologies on certain pages of the Platform to help analyze our page flow, measure promotional effectiveness, enhance trust and safety, manage Mojek Services, and provide you with a tailored, user-friendly experience. “Cookies” are small files placed on your device’s hard drive/storage that assist us in delivering our services and identifying you. We use cookies and other tracking technologies to distinguish you from other users of the Services and to remember your preferences.Certain features are only available through the use of cookies. If you choose to disable cookies, it may limit the functionality we can provide when you visit the Platform or access some of the Mojek Services.
Cookies do not allow access to personal data stored on your device, such as email addresses or other personally identifiable information. Most devices allow you to set notifications when you receive a cookie or prevent cookies from being sent altogether.Additionally, you may encounter cookies or similar technologies on certain pages of the Platform that are placed by third parties. Mojek does not control the use of cookies by these third parties.
We will retain your information for as long as it is necessary to provide you with Mojek Services available on the Platform. Upon your request to delete your account with Mojek, we will delete all personally identifiable information, except where the requirements below mandate retaining certain information.
Mojek may be contractually or legally obligated to retain specific information, and such information will be retained as required under applicable law or as part of Mojek’s contractual obligations. For instance, we may retain your contact information and application details (if any) for fraud prevention, to exercise or defend legal claims, or to provide evidence in legal proceedings.After termination of your relationship with Mojek, we may continue to use your data in an anonymized, aggregated format or in combination with anonymized data from other users. This aggregated data may be used for data analysis, profiling, and research purposes, such as gaining insights about user profiles and preferences.
For bank account and mutual fund data managed by SHREEM DATATECH SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD., Shreem will follow its data retention practices as per applicable laws and contractual obligations.
Limited Use Disclosure
Mojek Money’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
This ensures that any data accessed from Google APIs is handled in a manner consistent with Google’s standards for user privacy and data protection.
